Rodeo Time in Pulaski County USA!

Rodeos have been a staple of the American West since the 1800’s. Kids of all ages enjoy the excitement that go hand in hand with bull riding, calf roping, and barrel racing. Good old-fashioned traditions make the rodeo a family friendly event. This summer Pulaski County will host five rodeo events.

The action at Pulaski County’s saddle clubs heats up on June 7th, 7 pm, in Richland when Championship Youth Bull Riding comes to town. CYBR was formed in Iberia, Missouri to give bull riders of any age and young mutton busters the opportunity to compete in a family, Christian orientated association. This year’s “No Guts, No Glory” tour kicked off May 17th at Trail Ridge Saddle Club in Stoutland. Their circuit includes Tipton Cowboy Church (Tipton, MO), Hartville Saddle Club (Hartville, MO), Rolla Saddle Club (Rolla, MO), Iberia Saddle Club (Iberia, MO) and Grove Springs Lions Club in Groves Springs, Missouri. They make a return trip to Richland Saddle Club on July 19th. Admission for each Richland date is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and children under 5 are free. Featured events are Mutton Busting (6 years and under), Calf Riding (8 years and under), and, of course, bull riding (3 divisions- Pee Wee, Junior, & Senior) with open bull riding toward the end of the event.
