1. Kickin’ It Route 66 Barbecue Challenge: Saint Robert’s annual BBQ challenge has upped the ante and is now a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned event! Whether you are competing or eating this event has something for everyone- a kid’s BBQ competition, a military cook off, live music, kid’s bake off, adult bake off, and a Sportsman show! March 27th & 28th at Saint Robert, Missouri.

2. Mountain Man Experience: Kickapoo Trace Muzzleloaders’ annual fun day and rendezvous is a step back in time to the 1840s! Adults and kids will experience hands-on living history with primitive camps, blackpowder shooting, tomahawk throwing, blacksmithing, dutch oven cooking, and flint and steel fire starting. April 25th near Dixon, Missouri.

3. Mid-America Freedom Rally: Freedom of Road Riders have been putting on this Memorial Day motorcycle rally since 1988. Thousands and thousands have showed up throughout the years for the camaraderie, the campfires, the field games, the bikes, the poker runs, the live music, the vendors, – and most importantly to remember and celebrate those who gave their lives for our Freedom. Sunday night’s Rolling Thunder tradition will give you goose bumps. May 22nd, 23rd, 24th, & 25th at Buckhorn, Missouri.

4. Pulaski County Regional Fair: Summer’s most exciting four days! Kids of all ages will love the carnival rides, fair food, live music, ATV rodeo and bull riding competition. General admission is FREE and Friday and Saturday night’s concerts are also FREE. June 17th, 18th, 19th, & 20th at Saint Robert, Missouri.

5. 40th Annual Old Settlers Days: Immerse yourself in a weekend of living history! This family-friendly festival is held on the banks of the Roubidoux at Waynesville City Park and features a mountain man encampment, Civil War soldier camps, vendors, festival food, period dances, period church services and battle re-enactments. Explore the nearby Trail of Tears Historic site, the Old Stagecoach Stop, dining and shopping. July 25th & 26th at Waynesville, Missouri.

6. 48th Annual Railroad Days: Crocker’s Railroad Days celebrates the town’s heritage as a railroad boom town. The festival features a parade, live music, vendors, festival food, ATV rodeo and kid-friendly activities. September 5th at Crocker.

7. 37th Annual Cow Days: Win a cow during Dixon’s almost-famous street festival! Cow Days, a two-day event, features live music, festival food, craft vendors, Kids Zone, car show, and a parade. September 18th & 19th at Dixon, Missouri.

8. Frog Hill Half-Marathon & 10K: Named for the Route 66 icon Frog Rock, this half-marathon challenges runners to conquer Superior Hill. Waynesville’s central location on Interstate 44 between Saint Louis and Springfield, Missouri makes travel to and from Frog Hill Half a breeze. October 3rd at Waynesville, Missouri.

9. Nasty Pulaski Gravel Grind Bicycle Race: In it’s third year, Nasty Pulaski Gravel Grind is making a name for itself with its 65-mile dirt road course through Pulaski County’s scenic and rugged Ozarks topography. Did we mention the 4,400 feet of elevation changes? Shorter course options are available. October 3rd at Waynesville, Missouri.
