JUNE:

Big BAM is a cycling adventure across Missouri. This year’s event follows Route 66 from Joplin to Eureka. Cyclist can sign on for the full ride or can pick and choose segments to ride. For those who can’t commit to a full week of riding the segments between Lebanon and Cuba, with an overnight in Waynesville June 20 are a favorite pick. The Museums on the Square in Waynesville will be open to cyclists. Shuttles to Pulaski County featured restaurants and bars and attractions will also be available for riders. 399th Army Band and Two-Bit Steve entertain riders, locals, and visitors at the Waynesville City Park that evening.

Cave State Cruisers Car Show returns to Waynesville City Park June 23 & 24 for their 31st Annual Car Show. The show features 26 classes of cars competing for top honors. Dad, and the entire family, will have a grand time admiring these beauties and chatting with car owners. Don’t forget your camera!

Tri-County Fair is a Richland, Missouri summer tradition! Visitors from Central Missouri and around the state converge on Shady Dell Park for this authentic county fair. This year’s fair takes place June 27 through 30. A carnival complements traditional county fair activities. Don’t miss the truck and tractor pull Friday night!

JULY:

Summer Scarefest is a new Summer event in Pulaski County, Missouri and the organizers couldn’t have picked a better date- Friday, July 13th! Watch the cult horror classic movie Friday the 13th, play games, get your face painted “monster style” and start Halloween early with a trip through Rising Haunted Attraction! Photo ops abound!

July 13 Summer Scarefest at Waynesville, MO

Old Settlers Day returns to Waynesville City Park for the 38th year July 28 & 29. OSD is a family-friendly living history event. Families can tour the Roubidoux Spring Cherokee Campsite before heading to the main events at Waynesville City Park. Seven National Park Service interpretive signs tell the tragic tale of the Trail of Tears along the (mostly) paved walking trail. The trail leads directly to Waynesville City Park where you will find mountain man encampments and both Union and Confederate camps. Mock Civil War battles will be re-enacted throughout the weekend. Bring your appetite to Vendor Row and keep your eyes peeled as you stroll through the camps- you might bump into President Ulysses Grant!

July 28 & 29 Old Settlers Day

AUGUST:

Halloween fans rejoice! Pulaski County kicks off Halloween early with the extremely popular Haunted River Floats. Haunt fanatics from across the Midwest and beyond pilgrimage to Ruby’s Landing near Waynesville to float the Haunted River in rafts. The season kicks off August 31 and the one-of-a-kind experience is held every Friday and Saturday night through September. Don’t forget to bring your tent- a free night of primitive camping is included with admission!

SEPTEMBER:

Crocker, Missouri has been honoring their railroading heritage for 50 years. This year’s Railroad Days celebration, the 51st, takes place September 1. Bring your crew for this family-friendly festival. Highlights include a parade, live music, and the Frisco Depot Museum.

Kiwanis Ninth Annual Outdoor Show happens September 8 & 9 at the St. Robert Community Center. Outdoor enthusiasts can peruse over 100 tables and exhibits of guns, knives, archery equipment, fishing supplies, ATV’s and boats. $5 gets you in the door both days and food will be available.

Cow Days is one of Missouri’s quirkiest and fun festivals. Festival-goers have a chance to win an authentic, bonafide cow! Cow Days is held in Dixon September 14 & 15. Both days are jam-packed with live music, vendors, and food!

River Bassin’ National Championship highlights Pulaski County’s beautiful wild waters and its prime fishing September 21 through 23. Anglers from across the United States will make Ruby’s Landing near Waynesville their headquarters during the tournament. Divisions include Individual, Team, Super Team, Flyfishing & Youth- with more than $75,000 in cash and prizes for winners!
